Core modules are powerful, secure and compact network-enabled processors that are used in computer or electrical systems. They’re types of embedded systems, and can be fixed in their purpose or programmable. 

How do core modules work?

Core modules use a microcontroller or microprocessor – a component that performs the instructions and tasks involved in computer processing – to perform their job. They're a stand-alone computing device with no operating system. Key benefits of core modules include:

Core module applications

They are also used in larger devices such as cars or medical scanners. Core modules are especially suitable for embedded applications (in which they stay permanently in a device) due to their improved performance/power ratio and small form.
