BNC Connectors

BNC Connectors are radio frequency connectors that are used with coaxial cable.

With a quick release bayonet connection, BNC connectors were a widely used and reliable standard in RF applications. While most commonly used for allowing televisions to receive analogue signals form terrestrial antennae, the connector was also used in radio and signal test instrumentation and even in early computing hardware.

The Bayonet Neill-Concelman connector is usually used in applications requiring below 4 GHz frequency and below 500 volts, and matches the characteristic impedance of 50 Ohm or 75 Ohm cable.

The RS range of BNC connectors includes plugs, sockets and adapters, as well as gold plated versions for when applications require a higher quality connection.
