Micro BNC Connectors

Micro BNC connectors are small cable devices designed for broadcast, telecom, HD, radio and CCTV markets. They're used where applications require high performance in a high-density package. The contact and body plating in micro BNC connectors may be a metal such as nickel or gold, with beryllium copper as the contact material.

What do Micro BNC connectors do?

Micro BNC connectors are miniature, quick connect and disconnect radio frequency connectors used for coaxial cable. Compared to other push-pull connectors they offer a much higher level of performance. They allow a conventional mating action and will remain mated even when exposed to high levels of strong and prolonged vibration.

How do Micro BNC connectors work?

Micro BNC connectors need a dedicated slim-line fitting and removal tool to mate and un-mate the connection. Their unique coupling nut means a special tool can disconnect the connectors when they are closely mounted. Splines – rectangular keys – are used as a method for turning the barrel to mate or un-mate the connector. These long-handled tools are also useful for positioning and engaging the connector onto the back of equipment in tight spaces.
