Tyco Electronics Appoints RS Components as Global Strategic Distribution Partner in Asia Pacific
RS Components distribution channel enables suppliers like Tyco Electronics and Fluke Corporation to expand market outreach

RS Components, the leading international high-service distributor of electronic, electro-mechanical and industrial products, today announced that the company is working with Tyco Electronics as one of its key global strategic distribution partner following successful sales efforts in the region. This announcement coincides at a time when Fluke Corporation disclosed that through RS Components, their China sales revenue has tripled in 2008 as compared to the year prior.
The Tyco Electronics agreement builds on the successful 20-year partnership between the company and RS Components that began in Europe. Over the last five years, the company began working with RS Components across the Asia Pacific region. RS Components will distribute a wide range of Tyco Electronics products in Asia Pacific, carrying more than 15,000 electromechanical and passives products. Given the successful outcome of the relationship, Tyco Electronics aims to leverage RS Components presence in the region to expand into other product categories.

Fluke’s partnership success with RS is evident by the company’s strong sales growth in China. As one of Fluke’s top two global distributors, RS carries the widest range of Fluke’s test and measurement products, offering 300 lines of T&M products.

Further activities planned with Fluke and Tyco Electronics include developing different market segments targeted to the engineering community that requires low volume, high mix component support. RS will also hold joint marketing activities with both companies across Asia.
