90° Shrouded Plugs


These 90° shrouded (also called sheathed) plugs from our own RS PRO brand are designed to avoid accidental contact in high voltage situations by having insulation around both the male and female connectors. They can be re-wired.

They benefit from polyamide moulded body and the centre pin which is nickel-plated brass. This is fitted with a multi laminated beryllium copper lantern style spring contact. High quality moulded parts are reliable for the most demanding test and measurements applications. Voltage rating of 1000V.


How to assemble these plugs?


• Strip back 6mm lead insulation
• Feed the securing nut over the lead
• Solder the nipple to the exposed wire
• Screw the securing nut into the plug body
• Push the solder nipple into the centre pin

Note: maximum cable diameter is 4.3m
