EMC Brass Cable Glands

These RS PRO EMC cable glands are used throughout a number of industries, in relation to cable and wiring, particularly in instrumentation and control, automated systems, lighting, data and telecommunications environments.

What are EMC Cable Glands?

Cable glands, also known as cable connectors are essential when it comes to terminating cables in a hazardous or a harsh environment. They offer ingress protection, sealing and grounding which are all a necessity when it comes to safely passing a wire or a cable through an enclosure.

EMC stands for Electromagnetic compatibility and these cable glands provide electromagnetic shielding to protect the cable and equipment at the point of attachment.

These glands also ensure the cables are not pulled out or twisted making the connection between the cable and the machine more secure and to ensure continued performance.

These RS PRO EMC cable glands are made from brass material and are metallic in colour. They are highly durable and operate in temperatures that are expansive. These metal glands have metric threads which provide strain relief for cables, preventing them from breaking and ensuring their reliability and stability.

These RS PRO cable glands all come with accessory locknuts which are used to secure the cable glands into the correct position on the cable.
