RS PRO Black Aluminium, Nylon Brush Strip, 19mm

A range of RS PRO brush strips designed to seal the gap between the bottom of a door and the floor. Brush strips can be attached to the bottom of a door and act as a draught excluder to prevent draughts and keep in the heat. The brush also prevents dust and debris like leaves and litter from entering the threshold of a building or factory from outside. The strip can be cut to size to provide an accurate fit to any door.
These brush strips consist of a straight length of extruded aluminium, known as a carrier or holder. The aluminium carrier houses a length of black nylon bristles in the form of a long brush.
Brush strips are available in different lengths and with different door mounting angles 45°, 90° and 180°. The brushes have different bristle lengths and bristle diameters

Manufactured from black Nylon 6 filament
Encased in an electrogalvanised mild steel channel and housed in an extruded mill finished aluminium alloy carrier
Operating temperature range -50°C to +100°C and resistant to most common solvents
Available in most thicknesses with different filament lengths
Easily cut using a hacksaw and bolt cutters (see stock no. 539-069)

This brush strip seal can be used to provide draught proofing on a wide range of door types in both domestic and industrial premises including hinged, folding and sliding doors. The design of brush strips with their flexible bristles also makes them ideal for use on uneven floors.

How Do I Fit a Brush Strip?
Brush strips are easy to fit, simply measure the width of the closed door, then, with a hacksaw or cutters cut the aluminium brush strip to size. Position the strip up against the bottom of the door and screw into position. The brush bristles have to overhang the bottom of the door so they meet the floor surface and totally seal the gap.
