Adafruit GEMMA Wearable Platform v2 Starter Pack

The starter pack includes everything you need to add a bit of LED sparkle to your clothing. It has a set of alligator clips to test your design and the conductive thread to sew into your clothing.

The GEMMA Starter Pack includes:

- Adafruit GEMMA V2 - Miniature wearable electronic platform (RS 124-5508)
- Four FLORA RGB NeoPixels V2
- 2 x 2032 coin cell battery holder with JST connector and On/Off switch (6 V output) (batteries not included) (RS 866-0672)
- Thin conductive stainless steel thread - 2 ply, 25 meter (85 feet)
- Needle set with 20 pieces
- Small alligator clip test leads (set of 12)
- USB cable – USB A to Micro B – 90 cm (3 feet)

Adafruit GEMMA Wearable Platform v2

GEMMA is a tiny wearable platform built on a round 1.1 inch (2.8 cm) diameter board. The microcontroller at the heart of GEMMA is the Atmel Attiny85 8-bit MCU and is programmable with an Arduino IDE over USB.

This, the second generation of GEMMA, is physically and code-wise identical to the original but now has a Micro-B USB connector and an On-Off switch. It was designed mainly for wearable applications but its small size and low cost makes it great for a wide range of portable projects.

The Attiny85 processor has 8K of flash and 5 I/O pins, including analogue inputs and PWM outputs. There is a USB bootloader available from Adafruit.com but although you can program GEMMA using the Arduino IDE, it is not fully 100% Arduino compatible.
