The Sphero SPRK+ is the perfect educational tool for inspiring young minds through connected play and discovery. This tennis-ball-sized robot is programmed and controlled from your smartphone or tablet. There are lots of things you can do with a SPRK+, it’s all about using your imagination.

Program it! - The SPRK+ can be programmed using code, direct from your phone or tablet. There are various levels of programming to help you control your SPRK+ robot’s speed, direction, LED colours, sounds and more. The Sphero Edu app teaches you how to program, plus it gives you inspiration and projects to try out. Try programming a painting or recreating your own solar system.

Drive it! - Take your robot for a spin, do some maze running, or really put it through its paces on an assault course. The SPRK+ can move up to 4.5 mph. The Sphero Drive App enables you to control the colour, direction and speed of your SPRK+. There’s tonnes of things this tiny bot can do; try navigating a maze or take it for a swim in a pool.

Is the SPRK+ durable?

It’s WATERPROOF, SHOCKPROOF and SCRATCH-RESISTANT. Meaning you can be as creative as you like, without having to worry about damaging it. This tough little ball inspires creativity without restriction from its design. The SPRK+ ball also has a clear case so you can see everything going on inside of it.

How does it connect?

First of all you need to wake your SPRK up by double tapping the ball or press the button on the charging pod. The SPRK+ pairs with a Bluetooth 4.0 device, such as a tablet or smartphone. It connects really fast so you can get going right away.

How does is charge?

The SPRK+ ball sits on a base for inductive charging. The base connects directly to a wall plug via a cable (included). Once fully charged, the SPRK+ will last for up to 1 hour of play time.

There are 3 levels of programming available; drawing paths that represent code (beginners), scratch block-based programming interface (intermediate) and JavaScript text programming (advanced). It’s ideal for supporting learner progression.

SPRK Lightning Lab App

The SPRK Lightning Lab App is a programming platform full of step-by-step lessons, instructions and starter code. It’s the perfect tool to learn all about coding in a fun environment. There are tonnes of other apps to play around with and a community in which you can share ideas, get help or look for some inspiration.
