Maxim iButton Probe Module

The Maxim iButton probe module is a computer chip enclosed in a 17mm diameter stainless steel can. It provides the electrical contact necessary for the transfer of data to and from the DS19xx family of iButtons. The round probe shape provides a self-aligning interface that readily matches the circular rim of the iButton’s MicroCan package. Its unique and durable container along with up-to-date information can travel with a person or object anywhere they go. Its rugged design makes it resistant to harsh environments and makes it flexible to be mounted indoors, as well, as, outdoors. It is small and portable enough to attach to a key fob, ring, watch or other personal items. This device can be used daily for applications such as access control to buildings and computers, asset management, and various data logging tasks.
