RS PRO Stainless Steel Compression Fitting for Use with 2 mm Diameter Thermocouple Probe

From RS PRO a high-quality 303 stainless steel compression fitting or compression gland for attaching the probe of your thermocouple or RTD (Resistance Temperature Detector) securely into process fittings such as flange plates and thermowells. This stainless steel compression fitting also provides a quick and convenient way of securing your probe at the correct immersion depth into the process it is measuring.

A compression fitting comprises of an outer compression nut and an inner compression ring or ferrule also called an ’olive’. The male thread of the fitting is screwed into the thermowell or bulkhead. The probe is then inserted into the aperture at the top of the fitting to the required length. The outer compression nut is then tightened which forces the olive to compress around the outer sheath of the probe. The probe is then held securely in place and a tight seal provided.
