Development Kit for Si72xx Hall Effect Magnetic Sensors

This Silicon Labs Si72xx-WD-KIT is a development kit for the Si72xx series of magnetic sensors. This kit enables you to evaluate the functionality of the Si72xx Hall Effect sensors through 8 demonstrations preloaded onto the base board - the EFM32 Happy Gecko STK.
6 x Si72xx Hall Effect sensors are included within this kit and they are individually mounted on to postage stamp sized add-on boards. There is a preloaded demonstration for each of these boards. All add-on boards are connected and interchanged easily for quick prototyping and flexibility. Si7210 add-on board demos include magnetic field data on two scales and temperature sensing. There is also switch, analogue, PWM, and SENT demos, including tamper indication with a Si7210.
The Si72xx-WD-KIT also features a wheel demo for accurate position sensing, plus revolution counting and quadrant detection.

The Si72xx series are low power, high sensitivity sensors with industry-leading flexibility and programmability for open/close and position sensing applications. They offer reliability and additional features such as tamper detection. Si72xx sensors enable you to configure, measure and control the device over I2C. They are suitable for a very wide range of applications including; security systems, home automation, white goods, metering, consumer electronics, automotive and industrial.
