G3MC SSR

Solid State Relays from Omron that are compact with a thin profile, ideal for close PCB mounting. They are a small bottom surface area SSR with a monoblock construction incorporating the PCB, terminals and a heatsink.

Bottom surface area approximately three times as small as that of the G3M, ideal for high density PCB applications
Mono-block lead frame incorporating terminals, heatsink and a PCB directly mounted with bare chips make it possible to miniaturise the relay

G3MC-202PL DC12 SSR – Solid State Relay.

The G3MC-202PL DC12 SSR – solid state relay is a slim 4.5 mm all in one lead framed, reinforced relay. The SSR – solid state relay can be PCB mounted plus is RoHS compliant.

Solid State Relay (SSR) Features and Benefits.

Solid state relay – SSR. Phototriac isolation. No indicator. Snubber circuit. Rated output load 2 A at 100 to 240 V ac. Rated voltage 12 V dc. Operating voltage 9.6 to 14.4 V dc. Impedance 800 Ω ±20%. Must operate voltage 9.6 V dc. Must release voltage 1 V dc. Rated load voltage 100 to 240 v ac, 50 to 60 Hz. Load voltage range 75 to 264 V ac, 50 to 60 Hz. Load current 0.1 to 2 A. (the load current varies dependant on the ambient temperature). Inrush current 30 A (60Hz, 1 cycle).

Operating time 1 ms max. Release time of load power source cycle plus 1 ms max. Output ON voltage drop 1.6 V (RMS) max. Leakage current 1.5 mA max at 200 V ac. Vibration resistance 10 to 55 to 10 Hz, 0.375 mm single amplitude (0.75 mm double amplitude). Shock resistance 1000 m/s² Operating temperature (ambient) - 30° to 80°C with no icing or condensation. Relay weight 3.8 g.

Solid State Relay Interface Applications.

Controlling outputs from programmable controllers, positioning controllers plus other devices are transferred to actuators whilst providing isolation. The G3MC is suitable for applications that require frequent switching, noiseless operation and resistance to vibration, shock, dust and gas.

What is a Snubber Circuit in SSR – Solid State Relays?

A snubber circuit is a circuit which consists of a resistor and a capacitor preventing faulty ignition from happening within the SSR – solid state relay triac suppressing any sudden increases in the voltage applied.
