RS PRO Sound Level Meter

The RS PRO RS-1151 is a Class 2 8KHz digital sound level meter, and is ideal for mearing sound levels and taking noise measurements in all kinds of environments. It has A, C, Z frequency weightings with measuring range from 30dB to 130dB.The portable battery-powered device has an easy to use interface, for simple and effective on-the-go measurement of environmental noise. It also allows you to store and record information, for detailed analysis. The meter offers AC and DC signal outputs from a single standard 3.5mm coaxial socket suitable for compatability with a frequency analyser, level recorder, FFT analyser, graphic recorder, etc. It has a 4 digits LCD display with 0.1dB resolution. This device comes with 3.5φ plug, adjustment screwdriver, windscreen, CD software, micro-USB cable, a battery, an instruction manual, and a carrying case.Features and Benefits Fast, Slow and Impulse dynamic characteristic models 1/2" electret condenser microphone 0.1db resolution. Auto data memory micro SD CARD 4GB Back-screw for tripod fixture Wind muff included to protect the microphone from environmental interference Maximum, minimum, and peak hold sound pressure level Micro-USB interfaceApplicationsThis RS PRO digital sound meter takes accurate readings of ambient noise levels in an environment. There are several reasons you might want to monitor a noise level- from performance analysis to health and safety concerns. In a factory environment that uses heavy machinery, for example, you might want to know if the environment requires employees to use hearing protection. Alternatively, an entertainment venue might want to measure the noise of its sound system to see if it adheres to local noise level compliance. Digital sound level meters are often used in; Car industry Mechanical industry Leisure and musicWhat is the difference between Class 1 and Class 2 sound level meters?Generally, Class 1 devices are able to measure a wider frequency range than Class 2, and so are more suitable for precision applications. However, for most purposes, a Class 2 device offers a potentially more cost-effective solution.RS PRORS PRO aims to be your go-to brand when it comes to reliability, quality, and affordability. We source high-quality tools and parts from trusted sources and employ expert testing to build a brand you can rely on.When it comes to test and measurement equipment, RS PRO has an extensive range of solutions. From electrical to environmental measurement, we offer calibrated and multi-function instruments to suit your needs.
