Murata 1.5A Single Output Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter - OKI Series

The Murata PS OKI-78SR Series is built on a 10.4 by 16.5 mm, single inline package SIP module, these DC/DC converters are non-isolated switching regulator for embedded applications. Two nominal output voltages are offered, each with 1.5 Amp maximum output. Based on fixed-frequency buck switching topology, the high efficiency means very low heat and little electrical noise, requiring no external components. The ultra-wide input range is 7 to 36 Volts DC. Protection features include short circuit current limit protection. The OKI-78SR switching regulator is designed to meet all standards approvals. RoHS-6 (no lead) hazardous material compliance is specified as standard.

Features & Benefits

Ultra wide 7 to 36 VDC input range
Fixed Outputs of 3.3 or 5 VDC up to 1.5 Amps
Vertical or horizontal SIP-mount, small footprint package
“No heat sink” direct replacement for 3-terminal 78xx-series linear regulators
High efficiency with no external components
Short circuit protection
Outstanding thermal derating performance

Approvals

UL/EN/IEC 60950-1, 2nd Edition

Murata Power Solutions Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter

The Murata Power Solutions Non-Isolated DC-DC converter is used for the embedded application. It has three nominal output voltage terminals and up to 1.5A is the maximum output. The ultra-wide input range of upto 12VDC. Based on fixed frequency the high efficiency means very low heat and low electrical noise requiring no external component. The fixed single output converters provide both tight regulation and high efficiency directly at power usage site and are direct plug-in instead of linear regulators hence no extra outside component is required

Features and Benefits

• High efficiency with no external components
• No heat sink direct replacement for 3-terminal
• Operating temperature is from -40°Cto 85°C
• Outstanding thermal derating performance
• Short circuit protection
• Vertical SIP or horizontal mount, small footprint, in an encapsulated package
