RS PRO YY Cables

The YY control cables from RS PRO are number coded, reliable connecting electrical cables which combine the characteristics of a flexible mains cable, coupled with saving space due to the small cable diameters suitable for fixed installations.

These reliable YY cables work well within most environments, they can be used as interconnecting cables for measuring, controlling or the regulation of control equipment within assembly and production lines, conveyors and for computer units.

They are suitable for internal dry or moist conditions, they are resistant to various oils, acids and caustic solutions at room temperature. They may only be installed outdoors with UV-protection and by observing the temperature range.

They are made from a tough outer grey PVC sheath, with a multi-core flex, they have fine copper wire strands with PVC based insulation. The cores are black with numbers on the sheath. Due to the way these cables are made and the materials used, there is a high degree of flexibility.

YY cable is not suitable for fixed wiring applications requiring compliance with the requirements set out in BS7671.
