These mats are placed at the entrance to a controlled environment, plants handling semiconductors, electronic devices, precision instruments, photographic film and photo engineering, to ensure that no contaminants are taken in on the soles of shoes. The mat is made up of 30 sheets per mat so that when the top layer is losing its adhesive it can be unpeeled to reveal the next layer.
