This RS PRO enclosed autotransformer is a useful tool when you need to lower supply voltages. It can run US equipment on higher European voltages, with a primary voltage rating of 220 V AC, 230 V AC or 240 V AC and a secondary voltage rating of 115 V AC.


The autotransformer is simple to install in a variety of places thanks to its compact design and four mounting holes. It contains a varnish-impregnated coil for improved dielectric strength and is fully shrouded to reduce electrical interference. The unit's terminal blocks feature protective covers, and it has been electrical and flash tested to guarantee safe use at high voltages.


You can use this autotransformer for a variety of tasks, such as regulating transmission line voltage and starting induction motors. It doesn't offer isolation from the mains.
