    3M Jack Screw for D-Sub Connector - 3342 Series - 3342-1

Use this robust 3M screw kit when you want to ensure a firm connection between your D-subminiature (D-sub) connectors and the ports they're linked to. This set features two jack screws and two clips for both sides of the adapter. The clips properly space and support the screws and also prevent wear for long-lasting performance. As they prevent the loosening of screws, you can use these connectors in vibrating systems. The components of this screw kit are made of durable steel material and are suitable for both outdoor and indoor use.

    • Unified coarse pitch (UNC) thread type suitable for intermittent assembly and disassembly• Torque of 0.8Nm for a firm lock on the D-sub port• Zinc plating for extra rust protection

    Applications

    • Security control equipment• Network switches• X-ray machines• Personal computers

Are UNC screws better than UNF screws?

Which thread type you use depends on your setup. UNF (universal fine pitch) threaded screws are the preferred choice for permanent installation. UNC threads can be loosened more easily, so they're used in applications where adjustments might be necessary.
