The NewLink DisplayPort is a 20 pin connector similar to HDMI but designed to replace DVI/VGA. The standard was put forward by VESA to define a new royalty free audio or video connection. DisplayPort is very simple to use and makes connecting PC to DisplayPort enabled display very easily. DisplayPort cables are black with gold flashed locking connectors to reduce disconnection due to cable strain.
