Electromen - EM-101 DC MOTOR CONTROLLER 20-34 V DC, 4.2A

The EM-101 is developed for driving control and direction change in brushed DC motor applications up to 70W.Control can be performed with relay, open collector outputs or set with analogue voltage, due to the advanced pulse control (PWM) the unit operates with high efficiency, low temperature losses and provides a high starting torque.

EM-101 has adjustable acceleration and braking ramps and adjustable current limit (when reached this is indicated by onboard LED)

Loading of the motor can be compensated with inbuilt in resistor adjustment and is adjusted with DIP switches

Two braking options are available, for most effective braking 'reverse braking' mode can be used, this reverses driving and provides an extremely fast function

The drive also offers dynamic braking which shorts the motor terminals during the braking

Features and Benefits

High efficiency drive with low RF emissions

4-quadrant control

Continuous and 2-step speed controlling

Settable current limit

Settable acceleration/brake ramp

Braking options

Load compensation

Compact and DIN rail mountable

4 Quadrant 24V

The drive is designed for modern automation systems. Control can be performed easily with relay or open collector outputs. Analogue controls work with ±10V voltage. Usable motor can be permanent magnet motor with brushes,in power range of 5 to 80 W. Due to the advanced pulse control (PWM) the unit operates with high efficiency, low temperature losses and provides a high starting torque. Loading of the motor can be compensated with in-built RI-adjustment. The current, or in other words, the torque of the motor can be controlled with DIP-switch. The operation of the current limit is indicated with a red led. There are a variety of braking options available in this device. For most effective braking "reverse braking" -mode can be used. In this mode reversed driving is used for braking, which effects extremely fast function. Additionally the card utilises short circuit braking which short circuits the motor circuit during the braking. The drive also has in-built and selectable timing for the acceleration and deceleration ramps.
