Use this sensor from Festo to detect the piston position in pneumatic cylinders without contact. The device does this by using the magneto-resistive measuring principle to accurately decipher the piston position and prevent crashing. This durable sensor is made of tough polyamide, polypropylene and high-alloy steel materials that make it resistant to acids, alkalis and cooling lubricants. This means it's suitable for use in chemical production facilities. It can work as either a safety device or a switching component.

How do I install this proximity sensor?
Installation of this component is straightforward. Simply insert it into the cylinder's standard T-slot and screw it in. Thanks to retaining ribs, it'll hold its position and won't work loose, even in the event of shock or vibration.
