RS PRO Hydraulic Pressure Sensor, BSP 1/4, M2 (DIN Plug), 5 bar to 50 bar
This pressure sensor from RS PRO connects to a standard 1/4 inch BSP (British Standard Pipe) socket and contains a microswitch that closes when the specified pressure is reached. The desired triggering pressure can be set by adjusting a screw on the rear of the assembly. The microswitch has three connections, allowing it to be used as either a normally open or normally closed switch, depending on the control system requirements.
The switch has a built-in mechanical stop to ensure that no damage is done if the system is over-pressured, however, it is recommended that the system is kept under 50 bar. The sensor housing is built with an Ingress Protection (IP) rating of IP65, meaning that it can be used outdoors in all weather, but is not suitable for immersion. The system is designed with a 10-25% hysteresis to reduce switch bounce on the output signal, preventing multiple triggers.
