This Type J thermocouple wire from RS PRO lets you quickly and easily create customised thermocouple probes on site. The cable can be cut to the appropriate length for your application, and you can weld the two wires together to form the sensing end of the system. There's a connector on the other end for attachment to the thermometer that's easy to change as necessary.
The Type J thermocouple has iron and copper-nickel wires insulated with a heat-resistant silicone rubber layer. This means that the cable is suitable for a broad temperature range of -40°C to +200°C and is resistant to oils and acids, making it a good choice for use in harsh industrial environments. The multi-strand design of the wires combined with the flexible insulating sheath makes the cable easy to route.
