Frequently asked questions & answers
What is the different between a push button switch for an emergency stop and a general-purpose push button switch?
A general-purpose push button switch is used for controls, e.g. to start machine operation or simply to switch modes. An emergency stop push button switch however, is mainly used as a safety measure to stop hazardous events.
How can I avoid pressing on the 22 diameter emergency stops when not necessary?
Option to be considered is to retrofit metal guards, which can be found under ZBZ160 category for 40 mm diameter emergency stops.
What is Trigger Action?
A standard operator can be teased enough to open a normally closed contact without latching into the depressed position. Trigger action units are spring loaded so they only depress the contact block after it latches into the depressed position.
How do I release this button?
Twist the button in the direction of the arrow on the button head to release it after actuation. This extra step prevents accidental resetting.
