StarTech NLWH Series Ethernet Cable, 5m Cable Length, White - NLWH-5M-CAT8-PATCH

This Cat8 S/FTP LSZH Ethernet cable 5m is a screened network patch lead designed for high-speed copper connections in constrained or enclosed spaces. It supports 25/40Gbps links and delivers PoE++ up to 100W, with a flexible low smoke zero halogen jacket for installations where reduced toxic emissions are required. The cable uses solid Pure bare copper conductors and a combined foil and braid shield to preserve signal integrity in electrically noisy environments.

Features and Benefits:

• 2000MHz frequency increases throughput for high-density networks
• S/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference for stability
• 26AWG solid copper reduces resistance for consistent signal transmission
• Gold-plated connectors rated beyond 750 insertions minimise connector wear
• LSZH jacket emits low toxic fumes for safer enclosed installations

Applications

• Suitable for 40GBASE-T switch and copper SFP module connections
• Used with NAS and SAN devices requiring high throughput
• Ideal for powering PoE++ access points and IP cameras
• Can be used in industrial or transport environments needing low-smoke cabling

What operating temperatures can it withstand?

It operates between 0°C and 50°C and can be stored between -20°C and 60°C.

How is each cable verified for performance?

Each unit is individually tested with a Fluke DSX2-8000 CableAnalyser to confirm Cat8 parameters.

What is the cable construction for EMI protection?

Each twisted pair is wrapped in aluminium-mylar foil with an overall tinned copper braid.

Which wiring standard does it use for termination?

It is terminated to the TIA/EIA-T568B wiring scheme.
