cynergy3 Horizontal Float Switches


A simple electro-mechanical device for liquid level switching in high and low-level applications. These float switches consist of a reed switch and a pivoted actuator magnet and can be used for N/O or N/C operation. The switch action can be reversed rotating the switch through 180°.

This durable float switch from Sensata Cynergy3 lets you maintain fluid levels within a predetermined range. It has a corrosion-resistant, 304-grade stem made of stainless steel, along with a 316-grade stainless-steel float. This makes it suitable for use even in challenging environments. The 1/8-in BSP (British Standard Pipe) thread makes it simple to fit on the inside of your tank or reservoir. It's supplied with a normally open (NO) contact, but you can configure it to the normally closed (NC) position by rotating the switch by 180°. This makes it a versatile option that's suitable for a range of applications.

How does a float switch work?


When the fluid in your tank reaches a minimum level, the switch signals a pump to operate and refill the tank. When the maximum liquid level is reached, the switch tells the pump to stop working. This means the fluid in the tank stays within the pre-set range to prevent under and overfilling.
