StarTech.com 2m 4K HDMI to HDMI Cable, White - RHDMM1MPW
StarTech.coms superb HDMI cable offers users 4k video in rugged casing for long lasting usage. With support for HDR (High Dynamic Range), it provides richer, sharper, and an enhanced feel to images and video. Designed with simplicity in mind plug the HDMI connector straight into a computer for presentations or a Blu-ray player for a film night, display images, video, and sound on your HDTV or monitor. The HDMI cable is ethernet ready and features Kevlar, aluminium-mylar foil with braided shielding, and a TPE jacket make it an incredibly long-lasting adapter for any environment.
Quality Cable Build
Being a StarTech product, users can buy with confidence that the materials are of the highest standard and durability for performance you can depend on. For first-class protection with greater lead flex, the designers have added a braided Aluminium-Mylar Foil shield and made the jacket from softer and more flexible TPE (thermoplastic elastomer).
Aramid fibre has been added because of its superb heat resistance capabilities and provides extra durability for the wire. With all the conductors insulated, the reduction in friction enhances the flexibility without damaging or over-stretching the wires inside.
StarTech.com have thought of everything. Theyve added a metal shield to surround the circuit board for further protection, but also incorporates integrated protection against electromagnetic interference to allow your gadgets to charge without interference. The shield also maintains the strength of the connection point.
This solid construction can withstand over 10,000 bend cycles at a 180-degree angle, creating superb strain relief over a prolonged period.
Kevlar Protected
This HDMI cable is reinforced with Kevlar aramid fibre to further protect the lead from constant bending and twisting. This allows the lead to flex without overstretching.
Astounding Resolution and Sound
This HDMI lead supports high definition video at 4K resolutions at 60Hz (3840 x 2160) with a maximum bandwidth of an incredible 18Gbps. Its fully capable of connecting with your HDMI 2.0 equipment as well as earlier versions of HDMI. On earlier versions, this adapter will allow videos and pictures to be shown at the maximum resolution of the display.
This compact lead supports brilliant colour, improved contrast, and greater luminosity through HDR support. Being 3D ready and supporting 12:9 aspect ratio means users can enjoy cinematic viewing in excellent picture quality.
StarTechs wire also allows for 32 channels of uncompressed, or lossless, digital audio channels for closer to real sound audio.
Plug in and Play
A great feature of this HDMI cable is that it doesn't require any additional software to be downloaded to use it. With no set up needed, it's incredibly easy to use, just plug in and play. As its a good length cable, 2m, users can place the connections in a location where it suits their needs best. It has a low profile and is extremely lightweight, allowing users to slip it into a laptop bag or rucksack.
Go Green
With the very best protection in place, users wont need to worry about replacing the cable anytime soon. For climate conscious customers, this reduces landfill as youre not replacing cables as often.

FAQs
What are the applications for this device?
Users can quickly and easily connect this cable to HDMI-capable devices, such as 4K and Ultra HD displays. Ideal whether youre in the office or at home, this is perfect for any environment.
What is an HDMI cable used for?
An HDMI cable is used for displaying superb quality video and sound from an input, eg. DVD player, to an output, eg. 4k HD TV.
How do HDMI cables work?
HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface and works by using TDMS (transition-minimized differential signalling). TDMS encodes the signal being transmitted, which protects information from degrading as it travels along the cable from one place to another. One of the many wires carries the signal itself and another wire carries the inverse. Once the signals have reached the TV, the TV decodes the signal. Then, using the difference between the original signal and the inverse, the TV compensates for any loss of information that may have happened along the way.
Is there any difference between HDMI cables?
There are many versions of HDMI since it was commercially launched in 2003. Each revision normally adds support for specific devices and includes new features. For example, the very first version (1.0) could transfer data at 4.95Gbps, while the newer (2.0) iteration can transfer data up to 18Gbps. This, amongst other features.
