Product Details
ITT Cannon Circular Connector
The ITT Cannon Trident Neptune series 48-contacts male circular connector has a plug-type connection. This cable mount connector has a voltage rating of 25V and a current rating of up to 13A per contact. It is made from nylon and nickel-plated copper alloy coupling ring with stainless steel bayonet pins integrally moulded into the bodies. This circular plastic connector comes with a metal coupling nut and bayonet retention mechanisms providing the cost and weight benefits of a plastic connector with the durability of a metal connector.
Neptune
Based on the Trident Ringlok series, the Neptune range combines power and signal contacts. Widely used in automotive, marine and process control industries, they feature a strong bayonet coupling system with standard and reversed pin/socket combinations. A wide selection of backshell accessories, rear housings and dust caps are available. To maintain IP67 rating the rear of the connectors have a rubber seal which is pierced upon contact insertion. The seal is held in place by a screw ring (as supplied) which may be replaced with the appropriate size backshell. For IP67 rating to be maintained, wire insulation diameters should be within the following diameters: Signal wires: 1.7 to 2.7mm, Power wires: 2.7 to 4.0mm. The number of contacts shown as power/signal e.g. 2//13.
Note:
Cable mount plugs only mate with panel sockets and cable mount sockets mate with panel plugs. Plugs accept pin contacts, Sockets accept socket contacts.
