Kyoritsu KEW RCD Tester 5410
The Kyoritsu KEW RCD 5410 tests rated residual non-operating currents at x 1/2 Range, measuring RCD trip time at x 1 and x 5 Ranges. It measures trip out current by varying current automatically. For remote testing, the 5410 enables a user to hold the test leads with both hands by locking the Test button. Measurement will automatically start when the main voltage is detected. The instrument carries out a constant measurement of voltage in the stand-by mode at each Range. It detects the voltage to earth of Earth electrodes or Protective conductors during RCD test, when applying test currents (at measurement using EARTH in order to prevent electrical shocks caused by the damaged earth). Measurement is stopped at AC50V or more. The 5410 is of dust-proof and waterproof construction (designed to IEC 60529 IP54). Its backlight helps with night-time working and in dimly-lit locations.
