Vishay IR Receivers are used for remote control and infrared communication applications, in infrared code learning / repeater, infrared light barriers, and infrared proximity sensors. Infrared receivers operate in the range of 840nm and 960nm.

The Vishay IR sensor sensor for receiving various kinds of modulated IR signals. A PIN diode and preamplifier are assembled on a lead frame, the epoxy package is designed as an IR filter. The modulated output signal, carrier out, can be used for code learning applications.
