RS PRO Countersunk Head Structural Lock Blind Rivet
RS PRO introduces a fantastic range of countersunk head structural lock blind rivets. Designed to be easily installed and able to secure joints with short clamp lengths, these rivets are engineered to create a permanent mechanical fastening, they expand into a pre-drilled hole to create a strong and solid hold. The blind rivet can be installed entirely from one side of the material when access is limited to the fixing, unlike machine screws and nuts. Specifically designed to provide a flush fit where non-interference is required. The countersunk head is a fantastic choice when a discreet style is wanted.
Made from A2 stainless steel to ensure weather proofing and high corrosion resistance to elongate the life of your rivets whilst keeping it lightweight and strong. These steel rivets have a wide grip range with excellent load spread setting and mandrel locking system.
Used predominantly in modular buildings, portable wash facilities and plastic pallet and storage solutions.

- Creates a permanent and high tensile structural rivet joint with little effort
- Body length 17 mm
Applications
Rivets are mechanical fasteners that consist of a smooth cylindrical shaft with a head on one end and tail at the opposite end to the head. On the installation, a riveter places a rivet in a pre-drilled hole, and the tail is set or bucked (i.e. deformed) with a rivet gun, rivet tool or pneumatic hammer so that it expands to about 1.5 - 2 times the original shaft diameter, holding the rivet in place. They are used to permanently join two steel, aluminium or copper plates usually in mechanical applications where it is imperative that joints do not become loose and cause failure. They are especially suited for environments where a flush and non-interference fit is necessary. Most common, everyday rivet applications include:
Building and construction
White goods
Transportation and infrastructure
Woodworking and decorative finishing
Fine metalwork
Aviation, aerospace, and automotive
