From our reliable RS PRO range comes this high-quality parallel circuit heating tape. This trusted cable can be used outdoors and indoors for water, oil and chemical lines. It's also a practical choice for frost protection and sprinkler system mains but is not appropriate for hazardous areas.
The cable is housed in insulating and robust silicone rubber. It provides a consistent wattage output of 40 W per metre and can be used at a thermal range of -60˚C to +200˚C. The conductor is also protected by an earth screen braid that prevents electrostatic interference.
The tape is available in 100-metre lengths and has enough flexibility that it can be wrapped around vessels or pipes. To make cutting the tape easier, there are notches at intervals of one-metre on the outer sheath.
This cable has been tested against international standards for electrical resistance trace heating systems (BS EN 62395-1:2006).
