SMC Vacuum Generator, For Use With ZK2 Series Vacuum Ejectors - ZK2A10K5PLA-08

This Compact vacuum generator is a pneumatic unit designed to create and control vacuum for automated handling and pick-and-place systems. It integrates a two-stage ejector with pilot-operated valves and an analogue pressure sensor output, enabling continuous vacuum generation and monitored pressure feedback within industrial Air systems.

Features & Benefits

• Maximum vacuum level -91 kPa for strong grip performance
• Supply pressure operating range 0.3 to 0.6 MPa for stable operation
• Analogue output 1 to 5V for direct process monitoring
• Current consumption 15 mA or less for low power draw
• Noise level 66 dB for quieter factory integration
• Element filtration rating 30 μm to protect internal components

Applications

• Suitable for robotic pick-and-place in assembly lines
• Used for component handling in electronics manufacture
• Ideal for vacuum feeding in automated packaging stations
• Suitable for end-of-arm tooling in pneumatic automation
• Used for suction transfer in mechanical handling systems

What electrical supply is required for operation?

It operates from a DC supply between 12 and 24V with a maximum ripple of 10% peak-to-peak and a rated valve voltage of 24V DC for valve actuation.

How is the unit connected to plant vacuum lines?

The vacuum port uses an ø8 one-touch metric fitting for quick hose connection and a Compact installation footprint.

What environmental limits should be observed during use?

The unit functions between 0 and 50 °C, withstands vibration up to 30 m/s² and impacts up to 150 m/s²

stored temperature range for the sensor is −20 to 70 °C.

How does the integrated sensor perform across conditions?

The pressure sensor provides repeatability ±0.2% F.S., linearity ±0.4% F.S., accuracy ±2% F.S. at 25 °C, and is specified for 35 to 85% RH with no condensation.

What are operational flow and consumption figures?

Typical Air consumption is 40 l/min with a maximum suction flow of about 44 l/min for silencer exhaust configurations.
