LAPP Servo Series Control Cable, 12AWG American Wire Gauge, Orange Jacket - 0027961

This control cable is a screened, four-core cable designed for use where flexible, high-voltage signal transmission is required. It combines a fine-stranded copper conductor with a thermoplastic polyurethane outer sheath to deliver extended temperature-range performance and mechanical resilience in dynamic installations.

Features and Benefits:

• 1000V rating provides capacity for high-voltage control circuits
• -50°C minimum operating temperature ensures low-temperature flexibility
• 90°C maximum operating temperature supports elevated ambient conditions
• Extra-fine conductor enables superior flexing in motion applications
• Screened construction reduces electromagnetic interference in signal lines

Applications

• Used for servo motor feedback and control in automated systems
• Suitable for robotics with continuous Flex and movement demands
• Ideal for cable runs requiring flame retardancy to IEC 60332-1-2
• Can be used in installations requiring CSA and UL approvals
• Suitable where oil and abrasion resistance from TPU is required

What conductor material is used and how does it affect performance?

Conductors are MADE from bare copper which provides good electrical conductivity and is suited to repeated flexing when finely stranded.

How does the jacket material contribute to mechanical resistance?

The sheath is a thermoplastic polyurethane compound that offers enhanced abrasion and oil resistance compared with standard PVC alternatives.

Is this cable suitable for use in hazardous-area certified installations?

The cable is not certified for hazardous-area installations.

What standards and approvals apply to this cable?

The cable is listed against multiple standards including EN 50575, EN 60332-1-2, IEC 60228, CSA C22.2 No. 210 and UL 1581/758 approvals.

What is the cable construction regarding cores and screening?

The design comprises four screened cores with extra-fine strand conductors to optimise EMI protection and flexibility.
