HSS & TiN Coated Deburrs
Cutters with 90° angles designed for chatter-free deburring and chamfering on a variety of materials at production speeds.
Typical Applications:
Countersink cutter drill bits are designed to fit directly into manual, electric and cordless drill driver attachments and have hexagonal or round shanks. Countersink cutters are used to create a chamfer around the rim of a pilot hole enabling the head of a countersunk screw to sit flush. Countersink cutters can also be used to remove the burr left from a drilling or tapping operation.
The HSS Countersinks are ideal working on metal and wood applications, offering a cost-effective solution with high performance and durability. Their applications include:
Power drills
Robot applications
Stationary machines
Column drills
Machine tools

FAQs
When should you countersink?
Countersinking is done to ensure that flat head screws sit flush to the work piece. A countersink produces a conical hole matching the angle of the screw so that when the screw is fully engaged the head will sit flush or slightly below the surface. If you do not countersink the hole first, the screw may tear the fibres of the material leaving you with a rough work surface.

RS PRO 4 Piece Countersink Set - HSS Deburrs
RS PRO countersink drill bit set consists of 4 drill bits with head diameters ranging from 2 mm to 20 mm. Each drill bit has HSS construction with a countersink angle of 90°.
These countersink cutter drill bits are made from HSS (High-Speed Steel) which can withstand high temperatures without losing its hardness.
The red toolbox ensures that these countersinks are organised and safe, whilst ensuring that they can be carried around and stored easily. The kit contains a great selection of the most commonly used diameters, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
